FAQs
About Interactive Hypnosis + Elevate Support
Straight Answers For Thoughtful People Who Want To Understand The Work Before Choosing A Next Step.
Interactive hypnosis isn’t stage hypnosis.
It isn’t mind control.
It isn’t about being unconscious, unaware, or told what to think.
At Elevate Mindworks, interactive hypnosis is a focused, collaborative process that helps work with the protective responses, inner pressure, and recurring loops that can keep showing up in daily life — even when someone is doing all the right things to feel better.
These answers are here to make the process clearer, safer, and easier to understand so you can choose the support that fits what’s actually happening right now.
Interactive Hypnosis
-
Interactive hypnosis is a guided, collaborative process where the mind enters a more focused state while the client remains aware, engaged, and able to respond.
Inside that focused state, I ask questions and guide the process so the client can notice what the mind is showing, respond in real time, and work with what has been affecting how they think, decide, relate, respond, and move through life.
This isn’t stage hypnosis.
It isn’t being unconscious.
It isn’t someone taking over the mind.
It’s customized work with what the mind is ready to understand, update, and carry differently.
-
A hypnosis audio is self-guided. The listener follows a pre-recorded experience designed around a specific theme, such as overthinking, sleep, focus, shame, or nervous-system pressure.
Interactive hypnosis is live and personalized.
During a 1:1 session, the process is guided by what’s actually showing up in real time. The client can speak, notice, answer questions, share what’s happening internally, and help guide the direction of the work.
Audio Reliefis best for focused self-guided support.
Interactive hypnosis is best when the work needs to be tailored to the person, what they want to change, and what the mind is showing in the moment.
-
Yes.
Clients remain aware, involved, and in control throughout the process.
This isn’t stage hypnosis. No one’s being made to do something strange, embarrassing, or against their values.
During a session, the client can:
Talk
Ask questions
Say no
Pause
Stop the process
Move their body
Make choices
Decide what they want to address in the moment
Choose what they want to circle back to in the future
Share what feels unclear, uncomfortable, or important
It’s my job to guide the process in a steady, respectful, and client-supported way.
Your mind remains in charge of what it accepts, reveals, keeps, or changes.
-
Yes, speaking is part of the interactive hypnosis process because there’s immense value in sharing what’s being experienced in the mind during the session.
After hundreds of hours of interactive hypnosis sessions, I’ve seen how valuable it can be when clients share what they are noticing, sensing, remembering, realizing, or experiencing internally while the session is happening in real time.
There’s no need to perform, explain perfectly, or have the “right” answer.
Some people speak a lot.
Some people speak very little.
The work follows what the mind is ready to show, at a pace that supports safety, clarity, and the purpose of the session.
-
Most clients describe it as calm, relaxing, surprisingly focused, and more conversational than they expected.
A typical session may include:
A short conversation about what’s happening now
Guided relaxation or focused attention
Questions, guidance, and suggestions while the client notices what comes up internally
Real-time responses from the client
Focused work based on what the mind shows
A debrief afterward
Clients are present the entire time.
Many people are surprised by how normal it feels — and by how much can become clear when the mind is given a focused place to work differently.
-
That’s understandable.
I remember feeling nervous, excited, and uncertain the first time I experienced hypnosis myself. I had no idea what to expect.
This work doesn’t require forcing the mind open, digging for memories, or rushing into something before the client is ready.
The focus begins with what’s happening now: the pressure, reaction, protective response, or recurring loop that’s affecting daily life.
If older memories, sensations, emotions, or impressions come up, they’re worked with carefully, at a pace and distance the client can stay present with.
There’s no need to re-experience an unpleasant or emotionally charged memory.
The mind is wired to prioritize safety and protection. We can work with what needs to shift without forcing the mind open, rushing the process, or overriding what you still need to feel secure.
The goal isn’t to overwhelm the system.
The goal is to help the mind update what’s ready to change.
Safety, Scope + Fit
-
No.
Interactive hypnosis is different from therapy, though it can often sit alongside therapy.
Therapy may focus on diagnosis, treatment, emotional processing, trauma support, or mental-health care with a licensed provider.
Elevate’s interactive hypnosis focuses on the protective responses, subconscious associations, and internal loops affecting how life is experienced and handled now.
This work doesn’t diagnose, treat, or replace medical or mental-health care.
-
Often, yes.
Many clients use interactive hypnosis alongside therapy, medication, coaching, or other professional support.
Interactive hypnosis at Elevate isn’t medical treatment and doesn’t replace therapy, psychiatry, prescribed care, or crisis support.
It can be a supportive process for working with protective responses, internal pressure, and recurring loops while someone continues receiving the care that’s appropriate for them.
Anyone under medical or mental-health care is welcome to speak with their provider about whether interactive hypnosis feels like an appropriate addition.
-
Interactive hypnosis is generally considered safe when practiced by a trained professional and used appropriately.
At Elevate, clients remain aware, involved, and able to pause or stop at any time.
This work isn’t:
Emergency support
Psychiatric treatment
Medical treatment
A replacement for therapy
A substitute for prescribed care
A crisis intervention service
If someone is in active crisis, experiencing suicidal thoughts, or dealing with untreated severe mental-health symptoms, the first step is support from a licensed mental-health provider, medical professional, or emergency resource.
Interactive hypnosis can be explored later when the right support is in place.
-
This work may not be the right fit when someone needs emergency support, crisis stabilization, intensive mental-health treatment, medical diagnosis, medication management, or care outside the scope of interactive hypnosis.
It may also not be the best fit if someone wants a practitioner to “fix” them without participation, reflection, or willingness to engage with the process.
Interactive hypnosis works best when there’s enough stability, openness, and willingness to notice what’s happening internally and participate in the process between sessions.

Shifted in Sixty uses focused interactive hypnosis sessions to help change what keeps driving the inner responses that show up when life presses on tender places.
-
Audio Relief is self-guided support for specific pressure points.
It’s designed for moments when someone wants help with overthinking, sleep struggles, scattered focus, inner criticism, shame spirals, emotional pressure, or a specific internal loop.
1:1 Support is personalized around what the client wants to change, what is showing up in daily life, and what is uncovered through the intake process before sessions begin.
Audio Relief can help someone move through a specific moment differently.
Shifted in Sixty is for the deeper work of changing what keeps creating those moments across real life.
-
Because this work is highly personalized, interactive hypnosis can support a wide range of internal struggles, protective responses, and recurring loops.
Some common themes include, but aren’t limited to:
Overthinking
People-pleasing
Boundary guilt
Inner criticism
Emotional shutdown
Pressure and overload
Self-doubt
Relationship strain
Co-parenting stress
Perfectionism
Fear of being seen
Private coping or numbing
Responses that feel bigger than the moment
This work focuses on what happens internally — not controlling outside circumstances.
The goal is to help the mind respond in a way that supports the person’s current life, values, relationships, and direction.
-
Many people who find Elevate have already tried a lot.
I, too, was in the very same position when I first experienced hypnosis.
Therapy, medication, coaching, journaling, routines, books, podcasts, and personal growth work can all be valuable.
The frustration often comes when those tools help someone understand what is happening, but the mind still moves toward protection, control, relief, or escape before they can choose differently.
Interactive hypnosis works with the part of the mind where those familiar responses have been learned and reinforced.
It isn’t about forcing more insight, more positivity, or more discipline.
It’s about helping the mind update what keeps pulling someone back into the same loop.
-
Every person and focus is different.
Some clients notice a shift after the first session, such as more calm, better sleep, less spinning, or more space between a trigger and a reaction.
Deeper change usually happens in layers.
That’s why Shifted in Sixty is structured as an 8-week experience over approximately 60 days, with weekly interactive hypnosis sessions that build on each other.
The goal isn’t a quick emotional high.
The goal is meaningful change that begins showing up in real life — in decisions, relationships, boundaries, confidence, communication, and the way someone experiences themselves.
-
The application exists because Shifted in Sixty is personalized, focused 1:1 work — not a generic, volume-driven service.
This work is built on integrity, fit, and meaningful impact.
Before inviting someone into an Exploration Call, I personally review each application to understand what kind of support is being requested, what the person is hoping to change, and whether this approach appears aligned with their needs, timing, readiness, and willingness to participate in the work.
The application helps protect the client, the process, and the quality of support.
Sometimes Shifted in Sixty is the right next step.
SometimesAudio Relief, the Free Mind Relief Reset, therapy, medical support, or another resource may be a better fit for where someone is right now.
The goal isn’t to enroll as many people as possible.
The goal is to support people whose needs, timing, and readiness align with this work — so the process has the best chance of creating meaningful, responsible, real-life change.
-
The first step is to complete the Shifted in Sixty application.
Each application is reviewed to understand what kind of support is being requested and whether Shifted In Sixty appears aligned with the person’s needs, timing, and readiness.
Ideal candidates are then invited to schedule an Exploration Call.
The call isn’t a pressure-based sales presentation.
It’s a conversation to clarify fit, answer questions, and decide whetherShifted in Sixty is the right next step.

Logistics
-
Most clients work online through Zoom from the comfort of their own home.
For clients local to the Madison, Wisconsin area, limited in-person options may be available.
Some clients do a combination of both.
Regardless of the 1:1 format, the focus is the same: working with the mind in a way that supports meaningful internal change, clearer responses, and a life that feels more aligned from the inside out.
-
Shifted in Sixty is an 8-week 1:1 experience delivered over approximately 60 days. It includes 8 weekly 90-minute sessions.
This doesn’t mean daily sessions, daily check-ins, or daily assignments.
The program is designed to be spacious enough to support meaningful change while still creating a focused weekly rhythm.
Each 90-minute session includes time to check in on life, internal shifts, and what’s happened between sessions.
I come prepared with a session focus based on the client’s desired outcomes and the direction of the work. Sometimes that plan remains the right focus. Sometimes the session shifts to respond to what’s most real, relevant, and important for the client that week.
Once the focus is clear, the session moves into interactive hypnosis.
Most sessions include approximately 45–70 minutes of interactive hypnosis, depending on what’s needed to fully support the focus point and move toward a useful internal update.
Afterward, there’s time to discuss what was experienced and what may support the space between sessions.
Because this work is focused on impact, integrity, and weekly support, Shifted in Sixty is intentionally designed to be both structured and spacious.
Many of the responses people want to change have been reinforced for years, or even decades.
This weekly 90-minute cadence over approximately 60 days gives the work focused time, support, and direction so momentum can build and change can begin to carry into real life.
